There has been a significant development in Turkey’s fuel sector. Petrol Ofisi Group has incorporated bp’s Turkey operations. With this acquisition, bp’s fuel stations, terminals and shares in BP Petrolleri AŞ and BP Turkey Refining Limited companies in Turkey were transferred to Petrol Ofisi.

BP shares in Ataş, Çekisan and Ambarlı joint venture terminals were also part of the transfer transaction. The agreement became official after the share purchase agreement signed on November 14, 2023 and the approval of the Competition Authority on September 12.

Petrol Ofisi Group CEO Mehmet Abbasoğlu, who made a statement on the subject, said that this merger will contribute to Turkey’s energy transformation goals. He also emphasized that a new era has begun in the sector. Abbasoğlu stated that they will accelerate development-oriented investments by combining the experiences of the two institutions.

“We are very happy to welcome the new century of our Republic with a transaction that will set a reference for the sector and serve Turkey’s goals in the energy transition. We are reaching a unique ecosystem where the total experience is approaching two centuries. With this awareness and responsibility, we will continue to make investments for sustainable development without slowing down.”

PlayStation 5 Pro launch games revealed

PlayStation 5 Pro launch games have been announced. Accordingly, 55 games will work fully optimized with PS5 Pro in the first phase.

With this transfer, the future of the bp brand in Turkey has become a matter of curiosity. Although it is not yet clear what the new name of the stations will be, it is seen as a strong possibility that they will be brought together under the Petrol Ofisi brand.

Petrol Ofisi, on the other hand, is one of the leading fuel distribution companies in Turkey, operating under the Dutch Vitol Group.
